the blustery and bitter cold.

It’s a blustery, bitterly-cold winter outside. And our heat went out last night. So it feels like that inside, too. I ordered oil a few days ago but they couldn’t put us on the delivery until today.

Drew has a heater in his room so he was cozy and toasty all night long (and woke up to say HI MOMMY. ORANGE JUICE? And he got to eat breakfast in his room this morning.) and Daniel and I used our electric blanket to stay warm all night. And we kept water running through our pipes last night so we wouldn’t have a busted pipe to deal with this morning. Eeeek. That would be awful.

On a side note, it’s really odd how I sleep better when the house is cold.

In other news, our friends Sam & Janali are moving to Kentucky in a few days. I’m going to miss them but they are moving to be near family so I know they will love it. 😉 I know what it’s like to want to be near family. I MISS SOUTH CAROLINA. There, I said it.

I don’t have much more to say, mostly because my fingers are numb and I sliced my right index finger yesterday so it hurts to type.

On a more serious note, if you have a few minutes, go read what Angie wrote about the sea and the scarf. Just beautiful. Very encouraging.
