words.

I really enjoy reading Mourning Into Dancing. Jess has such a great sense of humor and writes beautifully. I’ve been especially enjoying her “words to start the week” posts. So I decided to copy her. 🙂

1. Super Bowl – Before last night, I’d never seen an entire football game (much less the Super Bowl). Even though I missed a few minutes of it because I was concentrating on icing a cake while sitting on the couch (very dangerous, I might add), I still enjoyed it. Plus, the Steelers won and we were rooting for them. The odd and quirky thing for me was how religious it was. I saw several coaches and players praying and I could read their lips as they said “God is helping you.” Wasn’t really expecting that. A bit weird.

2. Grateful – I had a melt down this weekend and was in a very dark place. But Daniel was absolutely so wonderful and held me for hours and listened to me talk (or sob). He was (and is) a solid and comforting rock for me. I could call him Rock Boy. You know, if I wanted to.

3. The Bird and the Bee – I downloaded some more music from iTunes recently and I am addicted to their music. I have a feeling that this is all I’ll be listening to this week.

4. Craigslist – I’m about to put quite a bit of stuff on Craigslist. And perhaps Freecycle.

5. Books – I went through a LOT of our books this weekend and have TWENTY SIX sitting on our coffee table that I want to read. Some will be re-reads but there are several that I’ve never read. I would like to read theme all today. Sigh.

6. Writing – I have letters to write and mail this week! One for Granny, Tara, Sarah, and Addison.

7. Taxes – We are waiting on one more W2 to arrive (this week hopefully) and then I’ll finish our taxes. I have all the paperwork lying on the dining room table. Wheee. I don’t think we’ve ever done them this early.

8. Spring – Even though I like snow and have enjoyed seeing it pile up on our lawn, I think I’m ready for all that to go away now. Yes, please. I’d like Spring to arrive.

Do you have any words to start your week?
