After a long and unproductive day, my doctor advised that a c-section was probably the best alternative. So, within one hour, I was on the operating table and Andrew “Drew” Paul Bergey was born. He weighed 7lbs and 8 oz and is 20.25 inches long.
The c-section was an experience I will certainly write about after I’ve had proper sleep. And our little Drew? Well, he’s absolutely beautiful, has the most gorgeous little lips, and he has been cooing and snuggly all evening.
It’s after midnight, Daniel is trying to scarf down some pizza and I’m enjoying a glass of delicious water (I’ve been on ice ships chips since Thursday evening). The jello and apple juice is “meh.”
At the end of this intense day (I doubt I’ve had one to this extreme before), I must say three things: To God be the glory, His strength is perfect, and I married a most wonderful, gentle, and calming man. Daniel really was a rock for me today.
