day seven.

Today has been full of porch-sitting, swinging, and long naps.

This is where I spent a good portion of my day:

where I was today

I started reading The Help. We made things out of pipe-cleaners. The hot weather made us sleepy and quiet. But popsicles, new books about volcanos, and PINK PIE sure cheered us up. And Happy Birthday to my wonderful dad (who I haven’t caught on camera yet – he’s sneaky) who still gives the most wonderful hugs.

My mom told me I should read it. I don’t know anything about it. Do you like it so far?

I like it so far! I plan to see the movie this week or next. 🙂

I loved the book! The movie was good, but as with most books turned movie, it didn’t quite capture the feeling the way I’d hoped. Still, I’ll buy the movie and I’ve loaned out the book. 🙂

That helps, Shannon! Wish we could all get together and watch it. Everyone at my place next weekend? 😛
