It’s a choice. Admist laughter, tears, and praying…I found it.
In no particular order…
1. Receiving another Christmas package (for my dad) containing Alphorn Cheese, Sliced and Glazed Fully Cooked Ham, Belgian Chocolates (I gave in), and two glass bottles of honey mustard and Dijon mustard.
2. A friend calling in the middle of my day just to play a song for me.
3. Hearing that Tiffany got saved the other night!!! (JON- why didn’t you tell me??)
4. Another Christmas card for me.
5. Talking with my Mimi who lives in FL…and finding out that I might be going to see her.
6. Mailing all of my Christmas cards.
7. Michael W. Smith’s Christmastime cd
8. That in 8 days…I’m going to see someone
9. My dad is going to take me to the Outback
10. That Sean decided not to delete his blog.
There are fears that bury themselves in the well-hidden heart and worries that bring a frown. The little voice says that it will never work sings in harmony with history’s failures that scream loudly. But if you choose to close your eyes and let go- you might lose everything you hoped to have.
Is there a certain ebb and flow of risk in a friendship? Does the risk grow the more you know someone? Or is it chancier in the beginning? Does it change with time?
