ramble.

Thursday, March 20th, 2003

It is almost sad that Alexander can provide so much entertainment. Amber was just making him croon John Mayer songs and I swear the little lamb could get away with anything. His pitiful eyes are beautiful and he just flops over in the cutest way.

I have come to a realization. If I want to be a powerful woman who can forcefully leap buildings and slam creeps in dark alleys then I merely need to grow my hair longer. We noticed that Jennifer Garner has quite a style…although I wouldn’t be keen on the black leather outfit. However, Daredevil was way too close to Spiderman. Hmph.

drippy arrival.

It’s stormy and quite drippy but Amber is safe and sound in South Carolina. We left the airport yesterday afternoon and headed to BJ because I needed to check in with the DOW. She got a brief view of campus and then we headed to Mr. Dipps to pick up supper for the family. She keeps laughing about everyone’s accents but I actually heard her say oh ma word this morning.

We had church last night and then we came home and stuffed our face with ice cream and had a leopard-print body pillow fight. She brought me the cutest lamb ever and I named him Alexander. We had some wicked fun with him last night. The storm raged for a while last night and we watched it from my tower late into the night.

I want to write more but my mind is buggly and I can’t think straight. It’s possible that I have been tickled too much.

terrorists wear socks.

Lord have mercy…my granny just called me and informed me that I need to be on my guard while picking my friend (who I met on that wicked, wicked Internet) up from the airport tomorrow. I reassured my granny that Amber is the sweetest thing in the world and I have no worries. Granny promptly reminded me that those who knew the terrorists had seen them as sweet and kind people. It was painful…holding my laughter back. So, I can’t wait till my fuzzy little terrorist arrives in South Carolina. I will take care of her since she just had oral surgery to remove four little terrorist wisdom teeth. If Miss Fuzzy brings harm to me this week…just remember that I didn’t listen to my granny.

pray.

Please breathe a prayer for Amber. She’s in surgery right now…

I can’t believe my mom just gave the kitties on the front porch rice, chicken, and tomato sauce. They just sniffed it and looked at her as if to say, What are we in trouble for?
