arm manicure.

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2003

It is odd to hear a man crooning old love songs under his breath while rubbing Tender Embrace lotion all over your arms and hands. The manicure I had this morning was quite a manicure. He practically beat my arms to death with pounding, squeezing, and too much lotion. I did not realize that a manicure meant touching your arms. I was planning on getting a pedicure as well but after his first performance I was little frightened to hop into the vibrating chair for his next one.

The rest of my afternoon was interesting as well. The minute I parked my car in front of Target, horrid weather broke out in the parking lot. Winds, rain, and hail descended from a sky that had been blue just minutes earlier. Buggies [shopping carts for those of you who are not in the south] went flying into cars, children were screaming, and a few trees fell over. I decided to brave the winds and dashed into Target to shop a bit. I found a cute little purse for $4.99.

new chapter.

The first sip of ice cold lemonade before you down the entire glass. Fresh paper filling your notebook. Turning the first page of your favorite book. The clock striking midnight on New Years Eve. The opening chords of that classic song.

The start of a new chapter in my life. Some of you have drifted over from my old site and some of you are brand new faces. Either way, you are both along for the ride.
