Up: Being married is everything I thought it would be and much more. It is such fun to have your best friend around always. Plus, he flirts with me even when my hair is mussed.

Down: All the boxes that are lined up in the hallway seem daunting.

Up: But the HOARD of gifts that we have is unbelievable. There were many times when my jaw dropped in disbelief and tears flooded my eyes. There has been such an outpouring of love and kindness from our friends and family. Now we just have to find a place for everything.

Up: One of the gifts, a knife set from Bed Bath & Beyond, was given to us by a friend. His note said “Don’t cut Daniel’s neck with these.” Ha!

Down: Daniel cut his own hand on a knife in the dishwasher. Looks like I wouldn’t have to try very hard. 😉

Up: The wedding pictures are absolutely breathtaking. And a few of them are down right funny. We should have them up soon. Here’s the album of pictures.

Another Up: We’ll have either video or mp3 (or both) of the wedding on the wedsite soon.

Down: The little mat that we keep at our front door keeps blowing away. Every single day. For awhile, it was a game. Oh, where did it blow to today?? But then it became sad. Now it sits indoors.

Up: The Ringling Brother’s Barnum & Bailey Circus was money well spent.

Up: Dinner at Miyabi’s (Japanese Sushi & Steakhouse) for Jerica’s birthday was great fun. We quickly discovered that Dane and Jerica can’t dance (Jerica had to do the Birthday Chicken dance).

Up: The New Building is progressing along quite nicely. We should be in it sometime during May.
Down: Even though their is a light at the end of the tunnel (i.e. New Building), the pile of work grows by leaps and bounds each day. And it’s hard to hire more people when you are in a shoebox.

Up: One of our apartment neighbors is having a Whole House Sale and we got to go peer at her things the other evening. We bought a coffee table and several Willow Tree figurines.

Down: We haven’t had time to take our Christmas tree down yet.

Up: However, the Christmas spirit is ever alive in the apartment. Daniel still turns the lights on.

Wiggliest Up: Cracker Barrel just built next to the apartment.

Up: Vikalin’s Coffeehouse might be getting wireless Internet.

Up: Daniel bought me a cute arm-band for my iPod.

Up: A new design for Aelki is almost ready.

Down: Hypoglycemia.

Up: An impromptu trip to Maryland on Friday afternoon.

Down: Falling on a flight of brick stairs. While carrying a glass bowl of cantaloupe.

Up: Try-outs with the local theatre.

Up: I knew who the Half-Prince would be.

Down: Being sick.

Down: The air has been out at work.

Up: The construction site work is going well. We are hoping to be in the building in about 8 months.

Up: Kerry & Ben got married. It was an amazingly beautiful wedding.

Up: Posing for newspaper ads.

Down: Having to pose for newspaper ads while sick.

Up: A new hairstyle.

Down: I didn’t go the gym at all last week.

Up: Three of those days, there was no air at the gym. So the guilt didn’t last.

Up: Cable Internet is almost ready for The Valley.

Up: Real friendship is cold water to a thirsty soul.

Up: I won three coupons for $20 each on flights with Independence Air.

Down: I can’t use the coupons together. Figures.

Down: Having auditors around creates more work.

Up: Harried conversation over potato soup does wonders for your heart.

Up: The two Very Large Mosquitoes have been killed.

Up: The spring bunnies are officially out and about. We saw two scampering in the valley last night.

Up: I have new Really Wooly stationery.

Down: I don’t have time to read my new books, play with Thunderbird, or enjoy my Netflix choices. I barely find time to work on the wedding.

Up: A bright red manicure and pedicure are good ways to keep wiggly.

Down: I’m a little uncomfortable with the season finale of Gilmore Girls.

Up: An old friend from the Previous Work came to visit me at the New Work today. We caught up over old times and had some jolly good fun.

Down: This cold/flu is a real beast right now. Hot soup, a bottle of ginger ale, and a cup full of ice (for chewing, of course) have helped a bit.

Up: My dad walked traipsed down to my place tonight and brought me a six-pack of Sprite. Six whole bottles of something other than water. My fridge will be delighted.

Down: After puppy-proofing my house (and rearranging my furniture), I found out that the puppy in question is staying with his family. Alas, I shall put my furniture back and wait a bit longer.

Up: Enjoyed supper Tuesday night with a girl who normally gives me product support on the phone. She flew into town for some work and we met up at Capri’s. Which is normally a happening place but was actually quite empty. Shockingly so.

Down: My lunch break was spent in the parking lot downtown. Crying in the rain. Overwhelmed. Exhausted. Feeling sick.

Up: But while on that same lunch break, I heard You by Waterdeep and was encouraged.

Down: The new pillows I bought a week ago are a bit fluffier than I prefer. Each night, I fluff them a bit and then feel my face sliding off of them because they are too full.

Up: Barlowgirl’s Never Alone absolutely never gets tiresome. Especially tonight.

Terribly Down: Closed doors and goodbyes farewell-for-now’s are never fun.

Up: My dearest friend Charity sent me a postcard from Florida today…in which she strongly hinted at my lack of communication skills.

Down: All of our room choices for our Thursday presentation are not available.

Up: I might be able to finagle our getting a conference room in the Gustafson Center…let’s hope and pray it’s possible.

Down: I got a frickin’ speeding ticket tonight.

Up: Wal-Mart donated $50 worth of merchandise (our choice) towards our project. We can use it as door prizes, etc.

Down: From my ex… “I know that I told you I would leave it up to you {to keep in contact} but I’m changing my mind. I can’t take it. I don’t want to keep in touch. I don’t want to see you, hear from you, or even hear of you. The reason being is that I still love you and…you don’t love me. You will eventually hurt me again and I can’t take that. If you want to know how I’m doing you will have to find out through other people. I’m sorry. My best wishes to you…goodbye, Nif.”

Up: Nathan, Aaron and I had a load of fun filming customers in Wal-Mart tonight. We interviewed this drunk guy who professed his undying love for the company and informed us that he does a nightly stroll through Wal-Mart because it’s like home.

Down: I have to finish all the invitations tonight for the shindig on Thursday.

Up: I bought the Spiderman DVD tonight…but it will probably be next week before I have time to watch it.

Down: When stress rains…it pours.
